Terrorism Risk and Resilience for the Pacific Rim in an Unpredictable Era
The 2026 IFTRIP Conference, themed ‘Terrorism Risk and Resilience for the Pacific Rim in an Unpredictable Era’ will bring together leaders from government, industry and research institutes to explore how evolving threats are reshaping risk and resilience across the region.
The program will feature The Hon. Dr Daniel Mulino MP, Australia’s Assistant Treasurer and Minister for Financial Services, alongside senior Australian national security, law-enforcement and emergency response officials, CEOs and executives from IFTRIP member pools, experts from leading research institutes and representatives from peak industry associations.
Conference sessions will address a wide spectrum of emerging issues, including the intersection of natural catastrophe and terrorism modelling, the evolving terrorism threat profile in the Pacific, cyber terrorism and infrastructure interdependence, and hybrid threats.
Panels will also explore urban extremism and social stability, leadership perspectives from the insurance and reinsurance sectors, and the future of terrorism risk through capital markets and multi-risk pools.
ARPC’s role
As an IFTRIP member, Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation (ARPC) will administer the 2026 conference on behalf of IFTRIP, which is convened and chaired by US Treasury. ARPC’s role is to ensure a seamless experience for delegates, while supporting IFTRIP’s mission to foster global collaboration on terrorism risk and resilience.
